How can I transfer my RAW photos and edits to my PC?

I've been taking a lot of RAW photos for my eBay reselling business, and I'm trying to transfer them to my computer. The problem is, all my photos are saved as .DNG files, which I can't seem to work with. Additionally, I noticed that each photo has an accompanying .AAE file because I do some editing. I'm really at a loss here and need a way to handle both the .DNG files and the edits properly. Any suggestions?

If you're on Windows, another thing to consider is converting your RAW files to JPEG or PNG before transferring them. That way, you'll avoid compatibility issues and can get straight to working on your photos!

First off, you need the right app to handle those .DNG files since it’s an Adobe format. Photoshop can do the trick, but if you're looking for a free option, GIMP is your best bet. Just a heads up, GIMP alone can't open RAW files, so you’ll need a plugin like Darktable to work with them.

That sounds doable! But how would I manage a lot of pictures, like the cropping and edits? I don’t want to lose my changes!
