I'm trying to decide between the 16GB 5060 Ti and the 16GB 4060 Ti for my gaming setup. The 4060 Ti is $80 cheaper, but I'm wondering if that savings is worth the performance difference. Some benchmarks suggest that the upgrade to the 5060 Ti doesn't make a huge impact, but considering the newer DLSS version and potential driver improvements, would the 5060 Ti still be the better option?

The 4060 Ti and 4060 are limited by low memory bandwidth, worse than the 30 series. The 5060 and 5060 Ti, however, are a definite step up in terms of performance.
What games are you gonna play? If you're into the latest titles, a new card could be worth it. If you're not in a rush, going with the cheaper option makes more sense.
The 50xx series is generally better than the 40xx series, but people are saying the value for the 50xx cards isn't great, making many users switch back to AMD. Just a heads up, benchmarks show that a 7800X3D can outperform the 5060, but I suggest you do your own research before deciding!
Just a tip, avoid using userbenchmark.com. It has a lot of biases. Tom's Hardware and Hardware Unboxed on YouTube are much better sources.
Yeah, UserBenchmark's accuracy has been in question, so always cross-check with trustworthy sites before making any decisions!
I definitely recommend going for the 5060 Ti. If you're already considering spending extra, it might be worth saving a bit more to get a 5070 or even a 9070. But for 1080p gaming, the 16GB 5060 Ti should work just fine!
If you're thinking 9070, you might as well save a bit more and grab the 9070 XT. And hey, if you're going that high, just go for a 4090! But seriously, I wish people would think about budgets more.
Trust me, the 16GB 5060 Ti will handle 1440p without any issues. I'm using my 8GB 4060 to game at 1440p and it's working fine!
That's exactly the info I needed! Thanks a ton!
