Is There a ‘No Hire’ List After an Interview Rejection?

About seven months ago, I interviewed for an AWS DCT trainee position but got rejected after the second interview. Now when I try to reapply, my applications get rejected automatically. A friend who works there mentioned that I might be on a 'no hire' list due to some notes from the hiring manager. I'm curious if this list exists and how I could potentially get removed from it. Any insights would be really appreciated!

There’s typically a cooldown period after being rejected—usually around 12 months. However, it can be longer depending on the situation. If you had a lot of issues to work on before getting hired, it might extend to 24 months. You’d need to do something seriously wrong to get permanently blacklisted from an opportunity, though.

Totally agree! Usually, 12 months is the standard. Unless there was a major red flag, it’s unlikely you’re banned forever.

Yeah, I've heard there are different states for candidates: Inclined (you got the job), Not Inclined (you didn’t get it), and Recycle Candidate (they want you but not for that specific role). My advice? It might be worth moving on and exploring other options instead of getting stuck on this one.
