Hey everyone! I'm planning to upgrade the RAM in my Lenovo Legion Tower 7i 34IRZ8, which currently has 32GB. It's running on a Z790 Chipset that supports DDR5-5600 without any XMP issues. I do a lot of photo editing, work with large language models, and I'm training LoRAs while using two 240Hz monitors at 1440p. I also enjoy playing FPS games like Valorant, Apex, and Overwatch.
Instead of settling for a DDR5-5600 kit, I'm considering switching to a DDR5-6000 kit but running it at 5600. I'm eyeing three particular 96GB (2x48GB) options: Kingston Renegade FURY, G.SKILL Trident Z5 RGB, and Patriot Viper Elite 5. They're all DDR5-6000 and are available at the same price through a friend. While I realize 96GB may be more than I need, I think it's worth the investment if I can manage it. I'd love some advice on which kit would be the best choice!

I’d recommend checking the specifications closely! The Kingston and Viper links may not point to the exact kits, and make sure you're not just getting a generic product page. The G.Skill link you shared goes to DDR5-6400 RAM, so definitely verify the kits before purchasing. After all, you want to ensure compatibility and get the most out of your new RAM!
Good point! I had a hard time finding specific links too, so I totally get it. Just double-checking is key – don’t want to end up with the wrong specs!
