I've been out of the PC upgrade game for a bit, and I want to know if I can simply swap out my current video card for a new one without needing to upgrade my motherboard or power supply. Here are my current specs:

- Processor: Intel 12900k with Corsair 360mm H150i AIO
- Current GPU: EVGA RTX3090 FTW3

I've heard that the new 50 series cards might require specific PSUs due to a standards change. Also, I had some trouble with faster RAM at 5200mhz—maybe I should look into lower timing DDR5?
Absolutely! Your motherboard supports PCIe 5.0, ideal for the new RTX 5000 series, and your 1000W PSU is good for even the 5090. I’m running an RTX 5070 Ti on a similar setup without issues.
You can definitely just swap your GPU without having to change anything else. Your current setup will support it just fine.
I feel you on the RAM struggles! I returned several kits before finding one that worked well without crashes. I'd like to avoid that again.
