My phone's screen has stopped working, and I can't enter my passcode to access my files. I'm considering going to an Apple Store in person and providing my passcode and Apple ID to see if they can unlock it for me. Is that possible? I need access to some files before I agree to have the screen replaced.

You actually don’t need to erase your phone to swap the display. The display can be replaced without wiping your data. Just make sure you go to a reliable repair service to avoid any leaking issues.
No, Apple can't unlock your phone for you. It's a privacy thing, so even if you provide your passcode and Apple ID, they're not able to access it.
Got it! Thanks for clarifying.
Even if it seems like you just need a screen replacement, if the damage is from water, it might not be just the screen that's affected. They usually can’t just fix that without some internal issues being addressed.
I know, thank you! My phone got wet and I have some sensitive info on it. I left a repair place when they asked for my passcode; it felt off to me.
