How to Transfer Custom Keyboard Layouts from Windows/Mac to Linux?

Hey everyone! I've recently made the switch to Linux Mint, and I spend a lot of my time on conlanging and linguistics. On Windows, I used a custom keyboard layout called 'alt latin.' I understand that transferring it to Linux might be tricky due to the different systems involved, but I was wondering if there's a way to either find an existing version of 'alt latin' for Linux or an easy method to convert my Windows/Mac keyboard layout to work on Linux. Any help would be appreciated!

You might want to check out the migration page on the Linux4Noobs wiki. It has a lot of resources you can use to find out more about switching keyboard layouts. Also, there are migration tips in the sticky post that could give you some insights. Just remember to use root only when necessary and avoid installing from unverified third-party repositories for security!
