Hey everyone! I'm building a new PC after a few years and I'm overwhelmed by the current motherboard options. It feels like the market has changed a lot since my last build. I'm thinking about going with a modern Ryzen CPU and 128GB of RAM. I want to reuse my RX6900TX AMD GPU for starters, but I'm flexible—Intel is also an option if necessary.
Here's the catch: I need a motherboard that has a built-in 10GbE card (SFP+ would be ideal, but standard Ethernet is okay). I plan to install a single PCI-E x16 GPU along with at least two PCIe x4 and one PCIe x16 cards. But all I'm finding from recognized brands are boards with just two PCIe x16 slots—where are all the other slots?
For example, I looked at the ASUS ROG Crosshair X870E Extreme, and it only offers two slots for GPUs. I'm primarily considering ASUS and Gigabyte since I've had good experiences with them in the past. I don't care much for overclocking or flashy designs; I just want reliability since I'll be working with high CPU and GPU loads for compiling.
Also, does anyone know if there are expansion cards that can turn one x16 slot into multiple x1 and x4/x8 slots? I appreciate any suggestions! Thanks!

You might want to check out PCPartPicker. They have listings for motherboards with multiple x16 sized PCIe slots. Some models, like the AI TOP, Creator, and Ace, still have three x16 slots available and come with 10Gb Ethernet options. It’s a good site for comparing prices and features!
Awesome, thanks! I wasn't aware of that site. How’s MSI quality nowadays? I’ve only worked with ASUS and Gigabyte for modern builds, and I remember MSI being a bit iffy in the past.
