Why Is My PC Benchmarking So Poorly?

I'm really puzzled because my PC is performing way below my expectations, scoring in the 16th percentile on UserBenchmark. This means that 84 out of 100 PCs with the same components are outperforming mine! I've been experiencing a lot of slowness and freezing, and I didn't think my parts were that bad. Can anyone help me understand what's going wrong?

Honestly, a lot of pros avoid UserBenchmark because it tends to favor certain brands, which is why it might not reflect your real performance. To get a clearer picture, go for benchmarks like Cinebench or solid benchmarks specific to your tasks.

I’ve started Cinebench, but I’m still trying to figure out how to interpret the results. Thanks for the advice!

UserBenchmark isn’t the best option for assessing your system’s performance. It's often skewed. Instead, try running Cinebench R23 or R24 for CPU benchmarking and 3DMark for GPU tests. If you're using specific games, check if they have built-in benchmarks; this will give you more reliable comparisons. It’s key to see how your components really stack up in practical use.

I don’t usually game, but my After Effects is really lagging. Thanks for the suggestions!

Definitely look at your RAM settings. Your RAM is currently running at 2133MT/s when it should be at 3200MT/s. Make sure you enable XMP in your BIOS settings and check the RAM slots; they should ideally be in the second and fourth slots from the CPU. This little tweak can make a significant difference in performance!

I enabled XMP and my Cinebench score improved from 442 to 498! Not average yet, but it's something!
