I was in the middle of downloading Linux Mint Cinnamon when my PC crashed. Now, whenever I start up, it boots directly into Windows instead of Linux. I've tried reopening Mint, but it suggests erasing the Linux installation and all its files. Is there a way to keep my files intact while successfully installing Linux? If I proceed, will it only delete the Linux Mint files and leave my Windows files untouched?

I think you should check your partitions before deciding what to do. It's important to know how they're set up. If you can access your Windows files, moving them to an external HDD is a safe choice before trying to install Linux again.
You might just need to reinstall Linux Mint without formatting the whole drive. When you reach the installation step, look for options to keep your Windows partition intact. Just be careful to select the correct drive during installation!
It's great that you're planning to back up your files first! If you do opt to erase the Linux files only, make sure you choose the right option during installation that specifies not to touch your Windows partition.
