I'm trying to connect my Micro Innovations PS/2 Keyboard (Model KB400I) to my Windows 10 PC, which has an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 CPU, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 GPU, and 32GB of RAM. I disassembled the keyboard and replaced the rubber domes, so I'm pretty sure it works because the Num Lock, Caps Lock, and Shift Lock lights turn on when I plug it in. However, it doesn't respond to any key presses, and the Num Lock light stays on even during boot. I've tried changing some registry settings, reinstalling drivers, and adjusting BIOS settings to prioritize PS/2 devices, but nothing seems to work. I feel like I've exhausted all my options after restarting my PC several times. Any help would be appreciated!

Make sure to turn off your PC completely, then plug the keyboard into the dedicated PS/2 port on your motherboard. PS/2 devices don't support hot plugging, so it needs to be connected while the power is off. And don't worry about the registry changes; you can revert those since they're not necessary for a PS/2 connection.
Have you checked if fast boot is enabled in your BIOS? If it is, that could be skipping the PS/2 device detection process, which may cause Windows to not recognize the keyboard at all.
I looked into that, but the device manager says the keyboard is detected. I’ll try restarting with it plugged in again, though. Thanks!
Are you using any kind of adapter for your keyboard? Some may need active adapters to work properly with your setup. Just thinking it could be a hardware compatibility issue.
No adapter, just plugging it directly into the port.
I tried that, but it still didn’t work.
