I'm looking to upgrade my gaming PC but I'm feeling a bit lost on where to start. I got this custom-built rig as a gift back in 2019, and while it was great at the time, it's really struggling with newer games now. For example, when I tried playing Red Dead Online, it crashes when I open the main world even on the lowest settings, and the same goes for Cyberpunk 2077.
Here are my specs:
- RAM: 8GB
- Processor: AMD Ryzen 3 3200G with Radeon Vega Graphics (3.60 GHz)
- Graphics Card: 4GB total (2GB for Radeon Vega 8 and 2GB for Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050).
I'm not looking for an extreme upgrade — just something that will let me enjoy games on medium settings. Any suggestions on where to start?

Looks like you're in need of an upgrade for sure! First things first, what's your budget? If you can spend around $800-900, you might want to consider building a whole new system. But if you're working with a lower budget, you could make targeted upgrades. Also, make sure to check the specs of your motherboard and power supply because that info is crucial for knowing what parts will work with your system! Google can help you find that info pretty easily. Once you know your budget, come back with any details you found!
Upgrading is a great idea! You're definitely going to want to know both your budget and the specific specs of your hardware. Sticking with less than $800 means you can get a decent graphics card, maybe a new CPU too. If that doesn't cover it, and you're willing to spend more, building from scratch can save future headaches. Focus on getting a good GPU that can handle the current games better!
I appreciate the tips! I'm trying to gather all the info I can before making any decisions.
I have a photo of my power supply but I'm not sure how to identify my motherboard. I'm currently taken apart my PC case looking for a label on it.
