I've got a Lenovo Loq with an i5-12450HX processor and an RTX 3050 graphics card. When I run Windows, I can squeeze out about 4 hours of battery life at 50% brightness, in quiet mode, and with the keyboard backlight off. However, on Linux—regardless of the distro I try—I'm only getting about 1 hour of battery life with the same settings. I've tried tools like TLP and UPower, but nothing seems to improve the situation. What am I missing here?

Have you considered trying MX Linux? It might be worth a shot to see if it handles power management any better.
Honestly, I don’t think you’re missing anything in particular. Linux can be pretty resource-hungry depending on the drivers and settings, especially with a laptop like yours. Some users just have to deal with shorter battery life, unfortunately.
I've been lurking and totally get why some people find Linux forums super annoying now. It's like hitting a wall sometimes.
Yeah, but honestly, I've noticed the same issue across all Linux distros. It’s frustrating!
