Is the ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 5060 Ti a Good Choice for My Setup?

Hey everyone! My old GPU just died on me, and I'm looking for a new one. I've been checking out the ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16GB GDDR7 OC, mainly because it's within my budget, and it has double the VRAM compared to my previous 8GB RTX 4060 Ti. However, I've seen some mixed reviews about the 5060 Ti, and I realize that saving for a 5070 might be a better investment in the long run. Given my current financial situation and the necessity for a new GPU, do you think the 5060 Ti is a smart buy? Also, if you have any recommendations for better 5060 Ti options or even considering switching to AMD, I'm all ears! Here's my setup: *CPU: Ryzen 5 7500f, Motherboard: ASRock B650 Steel Legend, RAM: 2x16GB Kingston FURY™ Beast DDR5 RGB Memory, Current GPU: GeForce RTX™ 4060 Ti VENTUS 2X BLACK 8G OC, PSU: Seasonic B12 BC-650 Bronze Semi Modular Power Supply, Cooler: Kraken Elite 360 RGB, Monitor: LG Ultragear 2K.*

Honestly, it might be better to hold off and save up for the 5070 or even the 9070/9070XT if prices drop. The 5060 Ti seems like a temporary fix. You didn’t mention what games you’re playing or your resolution, which makes it hard to give tailored advice. But generally speaking, you might regret it down the line if you don't go for more power now.

Yeah, considering you have a 2K monitor, VRAM could become an issue, especially with AAA games. If you're not doing much heavy gaming now, maybe it won't be a problem for a while, but in a year, DLSS performance might not cut it.
