Should I Upgrade My PC Components or Go for a Whole New Build?

I'm currently thinking about upgrading my PC but I'm not sure if I should just upgrade a few parts or replace the whole system except for the GPU. Here are my specs: Ryzen 5 3600, PNY 4060 8GB, 16 GB of 3200 DDR4 RAM, and a 650 watt PSU on a B450 Tomahawk Max motherboard. If I go for upgrades, what should I focus on? Also, I need help with changing the download location for my Nvidia drivers since my SSD is running out of space for the app.

First off, what's your budget for this upgrade? Knowing how much you're willing to spend can really help narrow down your options. What games or programs do you usually run? If you're just looking to improve performance, I'd suggest focusing on parts like the CPU or RAM based on what you use the most.

I'd say any amount necessary, but mainly between $500-650. I mostly play games like Marvel Rivals and Warzone.

You might want to consider a storage upgrade, especially if your OS SSD is running low. You can change where drivers download, but the OS drive needs to host the main application. As for your board, are you near a Micro Center? That could help with finding parts. Pay attention to compatibility with something like PCPartPicker—it’s super helpful for builds!

Currently, I have my OS on a 120GB SSD, which I thought would be enough. I also have a 2TB hard drive and an extra 2TB SSD.

How's your current setup performing? If you're happy with the frame rates and graphics in the games you enjoy, maybe stick with what you've got. However, if you're experiencing drops and lag, then definitely consider an upgrade. For that budget, I recommend swapping in a Ryzen 5600, adding another 16GB of RAM, and maybe looking at an RX 9060 XT. If you're leaning more toward CPU upgrades, consider going for a 9600X with a compatible motherboard and some fast DDR5 RAM.
