I recently bought a used Gigabyte 3070 and I'm concerned about the temperatures I'm seeing. The hotspot can hit a max of 108°C, which seems quite high compared to my previous 1080 Ti. I captured some HWMonitor data while the system was idle, but the maximum temperature appeared during gaming. I have three fans set up to pull air into my Corsair 4000D case, and the PC is on my desk with adequate airflow—there's a six-inch gap between the GPU fans and the PSU. I've confirmed that all three GPU fans are operating. Is there anything I can do to lower the temps?

It sounds like your 3070 could benefit from a repaste. The 30 series GPUs often run hot, especially if they haven't been serviced in a while. I recommend using PTM 7950 for the repaste. That hotspot temperature you're seeing is definitely concerning.
Do you have any specific advice on what thickness of thermal pads to use? And do I still need to apply thermal paste to the GPU chip itself, or just the pads?
