Looking for Recommendations on a Second SSD

I'm currently using a 500GB SSD in my PC along with a 3TB HDD for gaming, but I think the HDD is on its way out—based on the warning signs like 24904 reallocated sectors and 1320 uncorrectable sectors. To upgrade my setup, I'm in the market for a 2TB internal SSD since it's pretty clear that SSDs are a must-have for gaming these days. However, I'm a bit lost as this is my first time buying parts to upgrade my desktop. Can anyone recommend specific SSDs that might be good or, conversely, brands/models to avoid? Right now, I'm considering a 2TB KingSpec SSD. My budget is around £120/$160 but ideally closer to £100/$135. If you need any additional specs, just let me know! My main drive seems fine, so I'm not planning to replace that. By the way, my previous drive was a Seagate ST3000DM001 SATA III.

Hey! First off, it’s great you’re checking drive health—CrystalDiskInfo is a solid choice. As for SSDs, Kingston offers a wide range, from budget options to high performance. If you’re looking at the KingSpec 2TB SATA III, make sure to double-check reviews since some of their models can be hit or miss. Would you also consider brands like Samsung or Crucial? They have a reputation for reliability and performance.

Yeah, definitely check out Samsung's 860 EVO or Crucial MX500. Both are popular and tend to have good endurance for gaming!

I’ve got the Western Digital SN770 and it’s been solid for gaming. They have a higher-end model called the SN850x that’s even better if you’re looking for speed. Just a heads up, since your system is a bit older (2013 Dell workstation), make sure it supports the SSD type you pick—some older systems might not take M.2 drives!

Thanks for the heads up! I was unaware that my system was limited in that way. I'll stick with SATA for sure.
