Why is my PC underperforming compared to friends with the same specs?

I've got a setup that includes an MSI A520M-A PRO motherboard, an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X CPU, an MSI GeForce RTX 5060 8G VENTUS 2X OC GPU, 16GB of Lexar Thor DDR4 RAM running at 3600MHz, a 1TB Lexar NM620 M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD, and a 650W XTRMLAB XP-650B power supply. Despite having these same specs as my friends, my performance in games like PUBG is really lacking. I typically get about 90-120 FPS on ultra settings while a friend with the same setup is hitting 160-200 FPS. I've also noticed my Cyberpunk benchmark numbers are lower than expected. The CPU temps don't seem to exceed 85-87°C, which feels a bit stuck. I've already tried a bunch of troubleshooting steps including a fresh install of Windows, using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) for drivers, updating the BIOS and chipset drivers, enabling the XMP profile in the BIOS, ensuring the GPU is properly seated, and checking that power saving settings aren't activated. I'm really running out of ideas here!

Have you checked if your RAM is set up in dual-channel mode? That can make a big difference in performance!

Thanks for the suggestion! I just double-checked, and yes, my RAM is indeed channeling correctly.

Are you using the same settings and resolution as your friends? Just asking because the benchmarks look like they might be from an ultrawide screen. With 8GB of VRAM, pushing max settings at 1080p ultrawide could be quite demanding.

I appreciate the input! I actually took the screenshot from a clip of my gameplay with the snipping tool, which explains the odd resolution. Still, I’ve seen others with similar setups get notably better performance.
