Hey everyone! I used my free AWS credits last year for school assignments, and now that I have a job (even if it pays a bit low), I'd love to use AWS for a personal project I'm planning to scale later. Since I'm not in a hurry to scale, I'm trying to avoid any paid services at the moment. Is there any way to get more free credits? Also, if you have any good alternatives in mind, I'd love to hear them! Just to note, I need to deploy a Java Gradle backend and I already have a domain ready to go.

Consider making a new account after waiting a few days. Also, you might want to try Oracle Cloud; they offer a solid free tier. Furthermore, Atlantic VPS provides a free VPS for a year, which could suit your needs well. If you're okay with some costs, services like Digital Ocean, OVH, or Hetzner could be cost-effective alternatives.
One quick way to possibly get more credits is to create a new account with a different email. You can even use Gmail's + addressing feature to add something to your existing email. But, if you're smart about it, you can keep AWS costs low while learning—automate your builds and clean up afterward to keep the bill down. I managed to stay under $5 a month doing just that!
If you're looking for other options, check out the AWS Startups program. They have opportunities for new projects that might be beneficial. Just explore their offerings to see if you qualify!
