I recently decided to try out Apple TV+, but I'm facing an issue. I haven't used Apple products in a long time, but I saw the $2.99/month offer and thought I'd give it a shot. After creating my account and entering my payment information, I was browsing through the content when suddenly, my account got locked. I had to request access and was informed that it could take up to a day. It's only been about an hour since I signed up, and I'm worried that my account access will be denied without explanation. Moreover, will Apple still process the pending payment? It's not much money, but it's frustrating to be locked out without even using the service. Has anyone experienced this, and do you know why it could have happened?

Apple usually locks accounts when there's an issue with your payment method, like if it’s flagged as suspicious or fails. If your account is still locked, it’s likely you won’t be charged.
What about your previous Apple account? If you tried to reuse it or if it had issues, that could be causing your new account to get locked. Did you use similar info as before?
What type of card did you use to sign up? If it’s a prepaid card, that could trigger an issue. Regular credit cards usually work fine, though.
Did you mean a used Apple TV box? Just checking because I thought those were phased out!
Haha, no! I meant the Apple TV+ streaming service. Had no idea about the physical device!
Honestly, there have been a ton of similar complaints about account issues like yours lately. You're not alone in this!
It’s a debit card linked to my bank.
