Hey everyone! I'm reaching out because I'm getting ready to build my first PC, primarily for productivity tasks like DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, and Premiere Pro, but I'm also excited to play some AAA games (though I'm not really into FPS games). I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed with choosing the right parts, so any help would be greatly appreciated!
I'm aiming for a white-themed setup and here's what I have in mind:
- CPU: Intel Core i7-14700K
- Motherboard: MSI PRO Z790-A MAX WIFI DDR5
- RAM: 32GB (16x2) DDR5 6000MHz (considering either RipJaws or Kingston)
- GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4060 Ti 16GB
- SSD: Kingston NV3 1TB NVMe Gen4
- Cooler: DeepCool LE520 AIO White 240mm
- Case: Ant Esports Crystal X6 (white)

Good call on the NVMe drive, but I’d avoid the Kingston NV3. It uses QLC flash which isn't as durable and can slow down over time. Look into getting a drive with TLC flash like the Kioxia Exceria Plus G3 or the WD Blue SN580. They're solid choices!
I’d suggest bumping your RAM to at least 64GB for video editing—128GB if you can swing it! Also, consider upgrading to a 4070 Super or something from the 50 series; they might perform better for your needs even if they cost a bit more. Just my two cents!
My budget can't handle another 10k for extra 32GB of RAM right now. I might be able to upgrade that in a couple of months. For the GPU, the 4060 is the max I can afford at the moment since I want it to last a few years before I upgrade.
That's good to know! Out of those options, which one would you say is the best?
