What’s the Next Best Upgrade for My PC?

I'm looking for advice on upgrading my PC for better performance. My current specs include a B450 Aorus M Gigabyte motherboard, an RTX 3090 GPU, an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D 8-Core Processor, and a 32GB Corsair VENGEANCE LPX 3600MHz RAM kit. Given that my motherboard is from 2018, could it be a bottleneck? If not, what should I consider upgrading next?

Your setup is still solid! However, if you're not satisfied with your performance, you might want to consider a full upgrade in a few years. Keep it as is for now, it'll serve you well until then.

To see a boost, think about upgrading to dual 32GB RAM at 3600MT/s. Also, if you're looking for more power, a jump to an RTX 5070Ti could be worthwhile!

What resolution do you game on? Your GPU should be fine unless it's a super low-quality board. If you're wanting higher frame rates on a 240Hz monitor, maybe consider more RAM or checking if your 3090 is performing up to its potential. Some models have better cooling and performance.

Are you noticing any performance issues? If you're getting decent FPS and enjoying your games, then maybe you don't need to worry just yet!

Even though the B450 motherboard isn't top-tier, you won't really gain much by sticking with it. For a real performance boost, you might need to swap out the motherboard, RAM, and CPU altogether. Keeping your storage and other components, you could see a significant performance increase!

Your PC is decent, but if you want to stay cutting-edge, consider moving to AM5 and grabbing a newer NVIDIA or AMD GPU. AM4 is still viable, but it's an older platform now. If you want to be on top again, a whole new AM5 build might be in your future.
