I'm about to upgrade my GPU and I'm curious about the right timing for installing new drivers. Should I do this in Safe Mode or can I just install them normally? Any tips on the process would be really helpful!

Are you reinstalling Windows, or just swapping the cards? If you're reinstalling, update Windows first. Otherwise, plug in the new GPU and let Windows take care of the basics before you manually get the latest drivers.
Replace the GPU, boot up your system normally, and then remove any outdated drivers—use DDU if needed. After that, go ahead and install the new ones without any hassles!
If you're upgrading from one Nvidia card to another similar series, you might not have to uninstall anything. Just pop in the new card, and you’ll keep all your settings intact. But if you're switching brands, like from Nvidia to AMD, definitely use DDU to clean off the old drivers—better to do this in Safe Mode too!
I'd say only go into Safe Mode if you want to have a mini heart attack! For most setups nowadays, just install the new GPU, start up the computer normally, and then update to the latest drivers like any other day.
