My iPhone Battery is Stuck at 1% and Won’t Charge – What Can I Do?

I've been having a weird issue with my iPhone XS Max. It was working fine at 50% battery, but then it just shut down and when I restarted, it showed 1%. Now, it's not charging at all and I don't even see the charging symbol when I plug it in. To make matters worse, I'm suddenly getting a notification about the battery being non-genuine. Is there a quick fix I can try while I figure out what to do about getting a new phone?

I had a similar issue with my old iPhone 5se. It displayed 1% and would take ages to actually drain, despite showing the battery as being healthy. Restarting or factory resets didn’t help. Eventually, I got a new iPhone 15 and all was good afterward. Pretty frustrating, right?

I just experienced the same issue with my iPhone 15 Pro. Did you find any fixes or updates that worked for you?

You might want to clean out the charging port gently with a small tool, like a toothpick. Dirt can often block the connection. If that doesn't work and you're sure it’s a genuine battery, it could be something more serious like water damage.

Have you tried using different charging cables and plugs? Sometimes the issue could just be a faulty cable or outlet. It might also be worth trying a power bank or charging it via your laptop, just to rule out the wall socket.

Yep, I've tried all of that. Even used a power bank and plugged into my laptop, still nothing.
