I installed a Windows update yesterday, and right after the first restart, I was able to log in normally, but then the screen went black. There was also a PowerShell window labeled 'rgnupdt.exe' that popped up. I can't even open Task Manager! After a few more restarts, the desktop eventually loads, but it takes like 5 minutes for the taskbar to appear, and I still can't access the settings. Everything is running super slow. What should I do?

If those options don't work, you could try accessing the recovery options. Restart your PC and hold the Shift key while clicking 'Restart'—that should give you access to repair options.
You might want to try uninstalling the last update. That usually helps with issues like this. Just keep in mind that you might need to follow a few steps to do it without accessing the settings directly.
To uninstall the update, you can try booting into safe mode. Restart your computer and just before Windows starts loading, hit F8 multiple times. Then select 'Safe Mode' and see if you can uninstall the update from the Control Panel.
