Why are my new menu images pixelated on older TVs?

I'm using TVs as digital menus in my stores, but I've noticed that the images on one of my older TVs are coming out really pixelated. I have two newer TCL TVs that seem to handle the new images fine, but the older Sceptre TV isn't displaying them correctly at all. I usually load images onto USB sticks to show them. Since I've recently updated my menu with new images, I'm having issues: the JPEG files won't play at all, and the PNGs take a long time to load and appear very blurry with unreadable text. Can anyone explain why the TV is handling these images poorly and suggest a way to ensure they display clearly? Thanks!

Another thing to consider is the file type you're using. Older TVs sometimes have issues with newer file formats or specific compression settings. If the old images were JPEGs, try converting your new ones to the same format and see if that helps. Also, make sure the resolution closely matches what you had before; it can make a big difference!

It sounds like your older Sceptre TV might not support the same image resolution or file types as the newer ones. If your new images are in a higher resolution than the old ones, the TV could really struggle to display them properly. It’s definitely worth checking the resolution and going back to the old files if you still have them. Matching the new images to the specifications of the old ones might help.

Yeah, I had the same problem at my place! I ended up resizing all the new images to match the old ones, and that worked like a charm.
