Hey everyone! This is my first time posting here. I recently came into some extra cash and decided to invest 3,000 euros into building my dream high-end gaming PC. I've done quite a bit of research by looking at Reddit posts and using tools to help me pick components, but since I'm not too experienced with PC parts, I wanted to get some feedback from you all.
Here's the build I'm considering:
* **CPU:** AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
* **Motherboard:** MSI MAG B650 Tomahawk WiFi (AM5, DDR5, 2.5 Gb LAN)
* **GPU:** Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5080 Gaming OC 16GB (PCIe 5.0)
* **RAM:** Kingston Fury Beast Black 2x16GB DDR5 6000 CL30 EXPO
* **CPU Cooler:** Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 5 (168mm, AM5-compatible)
* **Case:** Corsair Frame 4000D Black (Mid-Tower, supports ATX/EATX, good airflow)
* **Storage:** Samsung 990 Pro 1TB NVMe Gen 4 SSD (fast M.2 performance)
* **Power Supply:** Be Quiet! Pure Power 12 M 1000W Gold (modular, PCIe 5.0 ready)
With a Windows 11 license and having the company assemble it for me, the total comes to around 3,000 euros. Is this a worthwhile investment? For context, I'm based in the Netherlands and using the website azerty.nl for these components. Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated!

You could save some cash if you're up for building it yourself. I put together a list for a similar setup that totals around €2460! Check out the prices and components here:
- **CPU:** AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
- **Motherboard:** Gigabyte B850 AORUS ELITE WIFI7 ATX
- **Memory:** Patriot Viper Venom 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR5-6000
- **Storage:** Western Digital Black SN770 2TB NVMe
- **Video Card:** Inno3D X3 GeForce RTX 5080 16GB
- **Case:** Corsair FRAME 4000D
- **Power Supply:** Montech CENTURY II 850W Gold
- **OS:** Windows 11 Home OEM
You still get great performance and can pocket some savings!
I personally think you should consider going for a 2TB NVMe drive instead. It’ll give you more storage in the long run without the hassle of worrying about space.
Definitely go for a 2TB NVMe. Trust me, you don’t want to run out of space too soon! More storage is always better for gaming.
