Help! My New SATA SSD Isn’t Showing Up on My PC

I recently upgraded my PC's storage by purchasing an Orico Y20 SATA SSD. Since my motherboard's only NVMe slot is already in use, I thought this was the way to go. I've connected the SSD properly to both the PSU and motherboard, but it still doesn't show up on my PC. I've tried every SATA port available, and while the BIOS recognizes it, I can't access it in Windows. Any advice on what to do next? I'm at a loss here!

It sounds like your SSD needs to be initialized and formatted before you can use it. This is a common step for new drives. Try checking Disk Management in Windows to see if it's listed there.

To access Disk Management, right-click the Windows Start Icon on your taskbar. This will let you initialize and format the SSD, if needed.
