How can I avoid overheating my room when upgrading my PC?

I'm looking for advice on upgrading my computer without making my room warmer. My current setup includes a 5 5600G CPU, Noctua NH-U12S cooler, XFX MERC308 RX 6650XT GPU, and an EVGA 600 BQ PSU, all housed in a Lian Li Lancool 205M case. The room temperature upstairs is already around 76-78°F during summer, and my PC pushes it into the mid-80s. What can I do in terms of future upgrades or building a new PC to keep the heat down?

The more powerful your components, the more heat they'll generate. If you're serious about keeping the heat down, investing in a window A/C unit could make a big difference.

Definitely be cautious about having it on the same circuit as your PC!

Look for components that are designed for high efficiency. They will consume less power and produce less heat without sacrificing performance. Undervolting your CPU and GPU is also a great way to lower power consumption and heat.

Upgrading to higher-end components, especially GPUs, usually means they will draw more power and heat your space up. Undervolting can help a bit, but if you want a significant upgrade, expect to increase power use as well. Honestly, the best long-term solution is probably just a good AC system.
