I'm considering a career as an embedded systems programmer for ISRO and want to know if software engineers in this field are at a lower risk of being replaced by AI compared to web developers or app developers. What are your thoughts on the job security for embedded systems programming as AI technology advances?

From my experience, it seems that AI struggles with C and C++ code, which are commonly used in embedded systems. Most of the sophisticated embedded work requires deep knowledge of custom hardware and existing libraries that aren't widely accessible. So I think embedded systems jobs will remain relatively safe for the time being. The AI tools might be useful, but they won't replace skilled programmers anytime soon.
