We're excited to be sponsoring a booth at AWS re:Invent for the first time and will have a 5'x5' turnkey kiosk set up in the Expo. The AWS sponsor portal recommends preparing swag for around 15% of total attendees, but I'd love to hear from those who have experienced this before. How many swag items did you guys bring, and what was the actual distribution like? Any rough numbers would be super helpful for planning purposes!

Swag should be practical and useful! Instead of just handing items out, consider making it interactive. For instance, have folks sign up via a QR code to enter a giveaway for a high-value item like an iPhone. This way, you get their email and more details about their roles in their companies. Offering something valuable makes it more enticing for them to share their information!

Don’t forget about the variety in shirt sizes! It might seem small, but people appreciate having options that fit them well. You don’t want to miss out on swagging someone who's a larger or smaller size.

It’s best to bring a mix of swag items—think everything from inexpensive pins and pens to items like t-shirts or even cool gadgets like Echo devices. A good strategy is to use raffles for the more pricey products. You can organize sit-in sessions for giveaways like t-shirts and bags, and for those who just scan their badges, give away the smaller stuff like pins and pens. This way, you engage attendees effectively!
