Hey all! I'm reaching out to get some feedback on a PC build that my friend and I have been working on. I have some experience building PCs but could really use your advice to make sure we haven't overlooked anything important. The build is meant for gaming, primarily Fortnite and some newer titles like Baldur's Gate. My friend currently has a 1080p monitor but plans to upgrade to a 1440p display later on. We're working with a budget of around $900 and already have a GPU donated by a friend. We're also aiming for a power supply that allows for future upgrades, hence the choice of an 850W PSU. Does this setup look good for now and does it leave room for enhancements down the line? We're open to any suggestions or concerns you might have! Thanks a lot!

I think the CPU cooler you're considering is overkill for the Ryzen 5 9600X. You could save some cash with the TR Assassin X variant, which performs well for half the price. Also, a B650 motherboard might fit your needs better and could save some money. As for the SSD, the P3 Plus isn't the best option—consider the MSI M482 or TeamGroup MP44L for better value. By adjusting those parts, you might even squeeze in a 4TB drive and still stay under budget!

That's super helpful info! We're definitely going to research cooler and SSD options further. Appreciate it!

While Seasonic makes great power supplies, you might want to consider alternatives for better value. Check out this option I found instead: [link]. Definitely worth it!

Thanks for the tip! We'll look into that PSU—big price difference could help us out.
