I recently misplaced my iPhone and got a replacement through AIG. Now I've noticed that my old iPhone is back online, and I can see its location. However, I'm not keen on chasing after the thief. I'm curious if they can use software like Tenorshare or TunesKit to bypass the iCloud activation lock, or is the phone still pretty much useless to them?

Just make sure you don’t remove it from Find My iPhone. As long as you keep it linked, the phone will be a dead end for them.
You're right to worry, but honestly, it's still pretty much useless for them. Those activation locks are tough to crack without the original owner's info. Just keep your device on Find My iPhone, and it's safe.
Are you certain? I’ve heard some of those bypass tools are really effective.
