I'm looking for advice on how to securely store my family photos and videos, especially since I live in a hurricane-prone area. I have about 200GB of footage spread across several SD cards, a 1TB SSD, and a 128GB flash drive that can't hold all of it. For digital copies, I have a private YouTube channel, my iPhone, the Shutterfly app, and 30GB of footage on MEGA. My most important info is backed up in a waterproof and fireproof lockbox with passwords and backup codes. I don't use a cloud service and don't have anyone I trust for extra copies. Any suggestions for keeping my memories safe?

A Microsoft 365 subscription might be a good solution for you. It includes 1TB of OneDrive storage, which is excellent for backing up photos and videos securely. You can scale it up to 2TB if you need more space, and it’s pretty affordable for peace of mind.
Sounds like you’ve put a lot of thought into this! It’s crucial to have an offsite backup copy, especially after seeing the aftermath of hurricanes. I suggest finding a location away from home where you can store digital copies securely, such as a cloud service or even a second home if possible. Just make sure it's reliable!
Given your situation, you might need to invest in a 2TB external hard drive for backups at home. It might also be worth considering a cloud storage subscription for convenience and security in one place. You can easily access everything without worrying about physical damage. Balance your storage across devices carefully so you're not overly scattered.
Yes, I do need to bear down and do that I guess, I just don’t make enough money to be paying for a monthly subscription right now.
Have you thought about putting an external hard drive in a safety deposit box at your bank? That way, you'll have a secure offsite storage option that's safe from hurricanes and other disasters.
I didn’t know that I could do that, thank you!
Thank you so much, I will!
