Hey everyone! I'm presenting at a conference soon and in the past, conference organizers provided a projector and screen while presenters brought their laptops and dongles. A few years ago, I used my MacBook for this, but it broke after an accident. Now, I only have my work-issued ThinkPad with my presentation saved on it and in Google Drive. I'm wondering if a dongle would still work with my ThinkPad for connecting to a projector, or if they only work with Apple products. Do I need a special type of dongle for my ThinkPad? Thanks a lot for any help! I reached out to the conference organizers but didn't get a response, so I'm hoping for your insights!

Yeah, a dongle should work with your ThinkPad as long as it connects correctly to the USB-A or USB-C ports. There are tons of different types of dongles available, so you'll just need to check what you have or get a new one that matches your ThinkPad's ports. Just be sure to do some quick research on which dongle would work best for your needs!
Thanks for the quick reply! I'm definitely planning on buying a new dongle since I can’t seem to find my old one. I'll check for compatibility with my ThinkPad!
