I'm looking for a better solution for API documentation than Google Docs, which just isn't working for us. I need a tool that provides short descriptions of APIs and makes it easy to copy endpoints, requests, and responses. What do you all recommend?

I use Stoplight Studio for managing my OpenAPI files—it’s really helpful, especially since I can't generate docs from our legacy codebase. Just be aware that it can be a bit clunky sometimes.
Markdown files are also a viable option! I suggest looking into Fumadocs for nice integration with OpenAPI.
Check out Postman for API documentation! It offers interactive features and is great for quickly sharing with teams. Plus, ReadMe and Redoc are excellent for more polished, public-facing documentation.
For REST APIs, I highly recommend OpenAPI (formerly Swagger). It's pretty flexible—you can go schema-first or code-first depending on your project needs. It really helps in keeping things organized.
If you want to be able to test your APIs too, Swagger is my go-to. It's user-friendly and integrates well with other tools. Plus, you can create mock servers with Swagger.
