Hey everyone, I'm a bit paranoid about installing Linux Mint. I keep questioning whether the authenticity and integrity checks are genuinely safe. I don't really understand those commands or what they do, so I might be overthinking it. Any advice?

Could you explain what you mean by authenticity and integrity checks? I'm curious about that too. It's totally okay to be cautious, just make sure you get the right info.
You don't need to worry too much! Just use a checksum to verify the .iso file you downloaded, and everything should be fine. It's pretty straightforward!
I'm referring to the steps on the Linux Mint site where you install GnuPG and verify the SHA256 hash for the download.
