How Can I Set Up Multiple Hard Drives in a Single Enclosure for My Home Server?

I'm pretty new to Linux and hardware in general, but I've got about six old external hard drives from when I used to run a business. I'm currently setting up a mini PC as a home server and I want to combine all these drives into one enclosure so I can easily access everything from the mini PC. I'm not sure where to start looking for an enclosure or how to connect all these drives while keeping my data safe. Any advice would be super helpful!

Setting up a NAS (Network Attached Storage) instead of just using a USB enclosure could be a better route for you. If your mini PC doesn’t have enough ports, you can get expansion cards that add extra SATA ports. When I built my first server, I repurposed an old desktop with several drives, and it worked out great. This way, you connect them to the network instead of just linking them via USB, which can be a bit clunky.

That makes sense! I was looking at enclosures that connect via USB, but I see how a NAS would be much smoother. Just wondering if I can get everything to work with the mini PC as the main hub.
