Hey everyone! I've recently switched my monitor from HDMI to DisplayPort, and now I'm facing a weird issue. After 15 minutes of inactivity, instead of the monitor turning off completely, it just displays a black screen while still glowing. The indicator light on the monitor used to turn yellow when it was off, but now it's white, meaning it's still on. I want to know if there's any way to make it turn off completely instead of just showing black. Any thoughts on how to fix this?

You might want to check the monitor settings using the buttons on the back. There should be an option to adjust the timeout or power settings. Make sure to look for anything related to 'Auto Scan'—that might be what's keeping it on. In my case, turning off Auto Scan and manually selecting the HDMI/DP source fixed similar issues.
Totally agree! I found the auto scan was causing my monitor to act weird as well.
Just a heads up, I noticed that the monitor can still turn off after the timeout, but then it reactivates with a black screen and the input label (like 'DP'). It used to show "No signal" when it turned off completely. You might need to experiment with the settings to adjust that behavior.
Yeah, I used to see 'No signal' too, but on DP, it seems to act differently. Thanks for the info!
Exactly! It’s like it’s trying to stay in 'active' mode, which is super annoying.
I had the same problem! The Auto Scan was messing things up, too. Glad you found the solution!
