I'm trying to decide which Linux distribution is best for my school laptop. I've mainly used MX Linux, but I'm open to trying Void or Debian if they offer something that would enhance my school experience. Any recommendations?

Stick with what you're familiar with! MX should work great for your needs, but don’t hesitate to explore other distros if you feel adventurous. It'll broaden your horizons, and you might find a better fit!
Honestly, if your school doesn't require Windows, give any of these a shot! Linux has come a long way, and plenty of schools are now supportive of it!
For edge cases, like using xrandr or needing specific commands, Ubuntu has good support. But since you won’t be in those situations soon, MX or Debian will serve you well!
Good point! But I really don't see needing a second monitor for quite a while.
Debian is a solid choice! It's super stable and has a lot of support, especially for education-focused software. You’ll be able to find help easily if you run into issues.
That's interesting! What makes Debian stand out for you compared to MX?
If you're looking at options, MX is good! It's quite user-friendly, which helps if you're focusing on your studies rather than troubleshooting. Would also suggest checking out distros like Aurora for a smooth experience!
All three distros can run similar software, so it really comes down to what feels right for you. If you're after stability and a good experience, MX is fantastic and user-friendly!
Yeah, I get that! But I'm more interested in the overall experience rather than just software compatibility.
What? I thought Windows was the standard everywhere for school!
