I'm checking out some auditing tools and Netwrix seems to be the most well-known option. However, we don't use any online services like 365; everything is on-premises. I searched this forum but found posts that are over two years old with not much recent feedback. Is Netwrix still relevant, or are there better alternatives out there? I heard SIEM tools can do similar things and we're considering those as well, but I've been told that dedicated tools like Netwrix might be more efficient. After seeing some online demos, I must say, they look pretty impressive! Are there any other options worth considering? Are there issues with contracts or limitations? Any advice would be appreciated!

We did some comparisons between Netwrix and Varonis for SIEM and log aggregation, and while Varonis is pricier, it definitely offers more features and better performance.
Netwrix does have a decent following and gets the job done for many. Some EDRs like Huntress or Crowdstrike also provide similar functionalities. It’s popular, but it seems like as more people adopt tools like 365, they might not be talking about it as much. The tools look great, but maybe it's just not in the spotlight anymore.
Thanks for the info! It's odd that I rarely hear about it even though the features seem top-notch. I wonder if the trend is shifting toward built-in solutions with cloud services.
Yeah, we ended up switching from Varonis due to its cost, but I have to say it was way better than Netwrix in our experience. Now that we have SIEM and some log aggregation tools, we just don’t find Netwrix valuable enough to continue our contract. I think it also depends a lot on your setup and team though.
