Hey everyone! I have a laptop with the following specs: Intel Core i3-1005G1 @ 1.20GHz, 4GB RAM, KIOXIA-EXCERIA SSD 480GB, and Intel UHD Graphics (Gen11). I've been considering switching to Linux because my current Windows setup feels pretty sluggish. I mainly use my laptop for internet browsing and some gaming. I'm looking for suggestions or experiences you all might have with Linux distributions that would work well on my hardware.

You should definitely try Linux Mint! It's user-friendly and works really well even on lower-spec machines like yours. If you find the default desktop environment isn't quite what you’re after, it’s easy to switch things up later. It's much snappier than Windows 10 or 11, so I'm sure it’ll improve your overall experience.

I agree! Mint is a solid choice. You might also want to check out PopOS as another option.
