I'm trying to build a gaming PC for my son's birthday, and I have a budget of $1200 for both the PC and the monitor. He specifically wants a white PC with ARGB lighting and a nice-looking water cooler for the CPU. Ideally, I want to keep the total cost around $1,000-$1,050 with tax. I'm open to buying a used graphics card to improve performance; I've seen 7600XTs and 3080s going for about $400 in my area (Salt Lake City, Utah). I also want to use an AORUS Wi-Fi card unless there's a motherboard that offers comparable Wi-Fi quality. I'm a total newbie in building PCs, but I recently helped my other son build one and I'm trying to learn more. Thanks for any advice!

If you’re focused on performance, maybe prioritize getting solid hardware over the flashy look. Sure, a white RGB build is cool, but would he be happier with better gaming performance? A strong system can always be upgraded later if needed. So just keep that in mind!
Exactly! First-time gamers are usually more impressed by performance, and you can always add aesthetics later on.
