Should I Major in Computer Science Instead of My Preferred Engineering Fields?

I just graduated from high school and I'm planning to pursue my bachelor's degree in South Korea. I'm feeling a bit confused about my major choice. My main passion lies in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, but unfortunately, there aren't any English-taught programs available for those majors. On the other hand, I also enjoy computer science, and South Korea offers full English programs for it. Given the current trends in AI and automation, is it a good idea for me to go with computer science instead?

I think you should definitely follow your passion! Computer Science might seem uncertain right now—some say it could be thriving in ten years while others think it might decline. It's hard to predict, so focus on what excites you.

But don't forget, there aren't any English programs for ME or EE, which is a bummer.

Absolutely! While it's tough to forecast the job market, if you love CS, it's worth diving in. Your interest will drive your success.

That's a fair point. I just wish I was more informed about CS and what its future holds for me.
