I've completed the Azure fundamentals certification and the Kubernetes Certified Administrator (CKA) certification. I'm looking for advice on how to further expand my skills. Is pursuing the Red Hat Administrator certification a worthwhile next step?

Just collecting certifications isn't the same as genuinely upskilling. The key is to be able to apply what you've learned in real scenarios, so make sure you're practicing your skills in practical settings.

You've got a strong base with AZ-900 and CKA! The Red Hat certification is nice but isn't a must unless you want to target Linux-heavy positions. You might find more value in deepening your cloud skills, exploring CI/CD, and tools like Terraform. Check out those DevOps roadmap resources to see where you can fill in gaps.

Linux and networking are crucial for anyone in DevOps, so pursuing some form of certification in those areas could be beneficial, even if you don't take the exams right away. Consider starting with RHCSA for Linux and CCNA for networking as foundational courses.

The Red Hat certification is great if you're aiming for roles in enterprise environments, but since you already have Azure and Kubernetes knowledge, it might be smarter to focus on cloud-native technologies. Look into Terraform or Azure DevOps as they align well with your current skill set.

Honestly, setting up a homelab can really help solidify your learning! While certifications are good for recognition, getting hands-on experience through a lab where you can practice what you've learned is even more valuable.
