Hey everyone! I'm pretty new to Linux and I'm hoping to get some advice or resources to help me learn. Eventually, I want to install Arch Linux, but for now, I'm working with Linux Mint on my 2014 Mac Mini. Any tips on getting started or a list of things I should focus on would be really appreciated!

Getting comfortable with the command line interface is crucial. It might be a bit challenging at first, but it'll pay off in the long run!

To kick things off, I'd recommend getting familiar with the terminal. It's super important to learn some basic commands that will help you out daily. Also, for installing software in Mint, you can use the Mint Store or the apt package manager. I usually go with apt since it's quicker. Additionally, understanding the file system hierarchy is key since it differs a lot from Windows, which I assume you're coming from. Good luck with your Linux journey!

You might want to check out a resources page that's linked in the Linux community wiki. It's pretty helpful! And remember to take regular backups, experiment in a virtual machine, and make sure you understand any command before hitting Enter!
