Hi everyone! I'm a 10-year-old excited to build my first PC! I plan to use it for schoolwork and some light gaming. My budget is $450 CAD, and my aunt is helping me pick the parts and will assist with the build. I've already got an ROG Strix B550-A Gaming motherboard, mouse, and keyboard from her, while my dad is providing an old case and monitor. I used PC Part Picker for my parts list, but I need to cut costs because the total is over budget. I'm considering integrated graphics due to the high cost of dedicated graphics cards. What suggestions do you have to help me get my build within budget? Here's my current parts list: CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600G, Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212, Memory: TEAMGROUP T-Force Vulcan Z 16 GB, Storage: Kingston NV3 1 TB SSD, Power Supply: MSI MAG A850GL 850W. Any advice on changes to make?

You might want to swap your NVME SSD for a SATA SSD instead if you can find one that's significantly cheaper, since the SATA will still work fine for your purposes. But if you can't find a good deal on 1 TB SATA, stick with the NVME since it's better for future use. As for the power supply, an 850W is way overkill for your current build without a dedicated GPU. Downgrading to something like a 500W or 650W should be plenty for now and can save you some cash!
Thanks! I’ll look for a less powerful and cheaper PSU.
For basic tasks, you’ll be fine with a power supply around 500W. Just keep in mind the 5600G comes with its own cooler, so you can skip the aftermarket one. Also, be cautious about the drive you're choosing; some SSDs have lower durability. Look for SSDs with TLC flash for better longevity. You can still get decent performance without blowing your budget!
I think going with a 550W PSU is smart! It gives you room to add a graphics card in the future.
Building a decent PC on your budget can be tough. You might want to check local forums or groups to find good deals on components. Sometimes you can get good parts for less if you buy used!
You could drop the Cooler Master Hyper 212 since the AMD Ryzen 5 5600G comes with its own cooler, which should be sufficient for your needs. This can save you around $50. Then, consider getting a cheaper power supply, like the Corsair CX550 at about half the cost of your current one. That could save you around $130 total! Here's a revised parts list that fits better within your budget: [Updated List](https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/fHdNVF). Also, for storage, consider upgrading to a more reliable SN580 SSD that might be a little more expensive but worth it in the long run!
Thanks for this! Does that mean I won't need a separate graphics card since the CPU has onboard graphics?

I agree! A 500W would totally work for this setup.
