Which Linux Certification Should I Choose for Cloud Engineering: RHCSA or LFCS?

I'm a seasoned IT professional with 15 years of experience, starting from desktop support to system administration, and now storage administration. Recently, I've been involved in building and migrating storage file systems to AWS cloud, with plans to expand my skills into Azure and GCP as well. I want to transition into a cloud engineer role and have already obtained the AZ-900 certification and am preparing for AWS CCP. I have additional certifications lined up like AWS SAA and AZ-104, but I realize I need a basic Linux certification to better understand Linux for cloud computing, as my background is mostly in Windows. I'm trying to decide between the RHCSA and LFCS certifications, specifically focusing on which would serve me better in a cloud environment, particularly for Bash scripting. I'm open to other Linux certification suggestions too!

If you're mainly looking to learn Linux without a heavy focus on Red Hat's specific distribution, I recommend going for a Linux+ book and getting some hands-on practice. The Linux+ certification covers a wider range of topics than RHCSA, which is more focused. After grasping the basics, you can move on to learn Bash scripting.

Thank you! I see how a vendor-neutral cert would be great for my goals. Any specific Linux+ book you'd recommend?
