What’s the deal with this ‘5070 Ti’ listing on Amazon?

I came across an Amazon listing for an MSI Vanguard 5070 Ti priced at $1220 CAD. The price seems great, but there's a catch: it's listed as having an "NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070" coprocessor, which isn't a Ti version. Is this a scam where they're trying to pass off a 5070 as a 5070 Ti? I doubt it since it's sold by Amazon, and the reviews don't mention any issues with this discrepancy. I'm confused—should I trust this listing? Is it legitimate?

If it doesn’t say "Ti" in the product name, they might just not know what they’re talking about. The actual version without Ti would be called "GeForce RTX™ 5070 12G VANGUARD SOC." It seems like a description error from someone who’s not familiar with GPUs.

I found that Memory Express is selling the Vanguard 5070 Ti for $1350, which is $260 over MSRP. This Amazon listing is only $130 over MSRP. This model is actually one of the better-performing, quieter 5070 Tis available, depending on what you’re looking for. But don’t overspend too much!

It’s definitely not going to have 28GB of GDDR7 VRAM, haha!

Right? It says that in the title, but the specs say 16GB, and then mention a "GPU clock speed: 28". This whole listing is a mess.

I noticed that if you change the URL from .ca to .com, the US version correctly lists 16 GB GDDR7. So it seems like an error specific to the Canadian link.

Since it's sold and shipped by Amazon, it’s likely just a mistake in the description rather than a scam. The listing mentions 5070 Ti everywhere else, so I believe it’s really a 5070 Ti. Prices for the 5000 series GPUs seem to be coming down, so this could be a good deal!

I think the price is pretty much spot on. Personally, I wouldn’t go above the $1090 MSRP for the 5070 Ti in Canada. At this level of GPU, the differences between cards don’t make it worth it to me.

The reviews suggest that it’s actually a 5070 Ti. Amazon is handling the sale, so you should be safe. Descriptions on Amazon can be misleading, just because they don’t really pay attention to those details. As for the price, I can’t comment since I’m not in Canada.
