What Should I Know About Partitioning for Multiple Linux Distros?

I'm gearing up for a transition away from Windows, especially with its end of life approaching. I have some previous experience with Linux, but I'm trying to dive deeper this time. I'm planning to install Windows 10 on a separate M.2 drive mainly for Adobe programs, but I'm eager to experiment with a few Linux distros as well. I'm curious about how much space I should allocate for each distro partition and if partitioning an M.2 drive for multiple Linux distros could lead to any major issues or errors affecting other partitions? Seems unlikely, but I've been wrong before!

Instead of juggling multiple distros, consider that you might just want different desktop environments (DEs). Using a display manager like SDDM lets you switch between DEs, like Gnome or KDE, without the need for separate installations.

Got it! Just to clarify, is SDDM a display manager or something else that helps switch between the DEs? Looking for some simplicity here.

If you're open to using containers, tools like toolbox and distrobox can be really helpful. They might allow you to avoid the complexity of multi-boot Linux installs altogether!
